Get answers to the questions you are already asking.

The assessment helps you work out where the friction is coming from and what needs attention before you spend more time or money changing it.

Why does work keep getting stuck?
See where work gets lost, delayed, duplicated or handed around unnecessarily.
Why are we still relying on workarounds?
Find the processes that depend on spreadsheets, memory, manual steps or one person knowing how everything works.
Do we actually need a new system?
See where your current tools no longer fit, where they overlap and where the problem may sit somewhere other than the technology.
Why is it so hard to get a clear answer from our data?
Identify where information is duplicated, difficult to trust or still being pulled together manually.
Why aren't people using what we already have?
Surface adoption, ownership and capability gaps before assuming another tool will solve them.
Are we actually ready for automation or AI?
Check whether your processes, information and ways of working are ready to support automation or AI without simply scaling existing problems.

Built for owners, executives and department heads who know things could work better and want a clear, independent starting point before deciding what to change.

01 · Start here

The free initial analysis

Answer practical questions about how your business runs today across six areas: Work Entry & Flow, Process & Operational Maturity, People & Adoption, Systems & Technology, Data & Visibility, and Automation & AI Readiness. Choose the areas that matter most to you, or complete all six for an overall score. No workshop, no preparation and no account needed. Add a few details at the end and your results appear on screen and arrive in your inbox.

02 · Go deeper

Turn the score into a clearer plan of action.

The full assessment goes deeper, with 78 questions across the same six areas and nothing you have already answered asked twice. It identifies more specific risks and opportunities, ranks what deserves attention first and gives you a 90 day roadmap, so you can move from knowing there is a problem to a practical plan. Access is currently by invitation.

03 · Built from real business problems

Not another generic technology checklist.

The questions reflect the patterns that show up repeatedly in established businesses: disconnected processes, overlapping systems, manual work, unclear ownership, poor visibility, adoption gaps and pressure to introduce new technology before the foundations are ready. They are informed by more than 15 years working across business operations, systems, technology and change in New Zealand organisations.

04 · Your result

A score is useful. Knowing what it means is better.

Each area you complete is placed in one of five bands, from Foundational to Advanced, with a plain-English read on what that means for your business and where to focus first. Your results are yours to keep and act on. If you would like an independent view on what they mean and the most sensible next step, you can talk them through with In Place Solutions.

What is the difference between the initial analysis and the full assessment?

The initial analysis is free and gives you a clear first read on how your processes, people, systems and data are working together. The full assessment goes deeper across every area and is unlocked with an access code. Use the request access link in the app and we will be in touch.

How is my score worked out?

Each answer is scored from 0 to 4 and weighted by how much it matters. Each area is then converted to a score out of 100 and placed in one of five bands: Foundational, Developing, Capable, Proficient or Advanced. The scoring runs on our side, so you see a clear result without needing to understand the maths.

Do I have to complete every area?

No. Choose the areas that matter most to you and you will see a result for each one you complete. Any area you skip can be done later. An overall score appears once all six areas are complete.
